On September 17, 2013, the Fort Meade Alliance hosted an NSA Community Update featuring National Security Agency's Deputy Director Chris Inglis. The luncheon also included a farewell to Kay Hill, Director of State & Local Government and Community Relations, who retired after nearly 40 years as an NSA employee. On November 14, 2012, the Fort Meade Alliance hosted "The Cyber Effect and the Role We Play," featuring keynote speaker CDR Ann Casey of U.S. Cyber Command. Cybersecurity Luncheon unveils 4th white paper
The Fort Meade Alliance unveiled a critical white paper “Cyber Mindset: Transforming Education and Expanding the Workforce for America’s Cybersecurity Challenge and Maryland’s Newest Industry.” at a luncheon event in February 2012 that featured remarks by Mark Orndorff, Chief Information Assurance Executive for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and USAF Col. Cybersecurity: Key to the Future
In February 2011, the Fort Meade Alliance focused its 4th Annual Education and Workforce Development forum on cyber security and the very real need to find qualified, skilled workers to work in the Fort Meade Region. Cyber Security: Key to the Future provided government and industry insight from the front lines of cyber security and identified what needs to be done by educational institutions, workforce development organizations and private industry to win the nation's cyber security fight. IT Forum gives small business access to government agencies and contractors
The Fort Meade Alliance partnered with the Maryland Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs to offer unprecedented access to top Fort George G. Meade tenants and government contractors at the sold-out Fort Meade Regional Minority and Small Business Government Contracting IT Forum on May 27, 2010. Read more about the IT Forum.
