Jones) A growing, vibrant organization, the Fort Meade Alliance is an advocacy membership organization created to promote and support Fort George G. Meade as an economic asset and resource to the region. Business and community leaders have joined the Alliance, as we work together to promote Fort George G. Meade as the installation of first choice for the Department of Defense, the military services, and other federal departments and agencies. Fort Meade is already a home base to all five military services and the National Security Agency. Given the upcoming growth to Fort Meade through the 2005 BRAC legislation, the Alliance is actively involved in planning for Fort Meade’s future and BRAC –related activities. Given our mission and objectives, the Alliance also helps support Fort Meade with federal, state and local government leaders, helping to ensure that the interests of our local militiary resource are kept sharply in focus. Through our advocacy and active committees, we establish and focus on priority projects. The Fort Meade Alliance is supported, in part, through grants and in-kind donations from the Anne Arundel Economic Development Corporation and the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development.
