The Fort Meade Alliance's Meade Business Connect provides the opportunity for members and the community to understand the business opportunities at Fort Meade.
BDI Services include:
Outreach programs –providing businesses with the opportunity to meet with contracting officers at the various FGGM tenants
Educational programs – Sponsoring regular educational seminars focusing on 10 to 12 primary issues businesses must address before doing business with the FGGM federal government agencies and organizations as well as federal prime contractors.
Market research – Providing vital information to the business community about the commercial opportunities available at Fort Meade.
Business opportunities – Assisting the FGGM federal government agencies and organizations in locating private businesses who can provide critical products and services necessary for their continued success.
Technology Transfer – Assisting businesses in identifying and commercializing technology and products developed by the FGGM federal government agencies and organizations.
Client database access – Providing access to both publically available databases, as well as those developed by the Fort Meade Alliance, regarding business opportunities.
Workforce Development – Providing information to individuals regarding employment opportunities at Fort Meade and with businesses contracting with Fort Meade, as well as vetting those individuals on behalf of the installation’s tenants and contractors.
Networking events – Sponsoring social functions to foster networking opportunities.

- Mentorship program – Executing a nine-month mentoring program that matches proven regional leaders with success in winning business with up to to 24 companies seeking to understand and navigate the unique Fort Meade government-contracting environment.
- Outreach programs – Providing businesses with the opportunity to meet with contracting officers at the various government agencies and organizations at Fort Meade.
- Networking events – Sponsoring functions to foster networking opportunities with government agencies and organizations, as well as large and small businesses performing contracts at Fort Meade.
- Membership database access – Providing access to the FMA online member directory, a comprehensive list of FMA members, contact information and capability statements. (Coming in Winter 2012)
