Annapolis, MD (May 30, 2006) – The Fort Meade Alliance has named its new officers and Board of Directors.

The Fort Meade Alliance, formed in 2003, has more than 100 members and works to promote and support Fort George G. Meade as an essential economic asset and resource in the state of Maryland. The Alliance coordinates the efforts of businesses, organizations and other interest groups who support the continued growth and prosperity of the installation.

Jay Baldwin, a vice president at M&T Bank and 17-year resident of Anne Arundel County, is the newly elected Fort Meade Alliance President.

"I consider myself fortunate to work with such a diverse and talented group of people," said Baldwin, a resident of Crofton. "The Alliance has a dynamic and quickly growing membership, and with the Base Realignment and Closure decisions of 2005, we have many initiatives to support on behalf of Fort Meade."
