Rising seniors from North County and South River High Schools in the STEM program are seeking internships this summer! These students have experienced much more than the traditional high school curriculum and are highly-qualified to contribute in meaningful ways to the internships they pursue. This is intended to benefit both the intern and the organization mentoring them.
STEM students have a wide array of expertise that can truly contribute to your company, research or organization. These students have a keen eye for graphic design and spatial relations and design developed through STEM Art experiences. They are proficient in Visual Basic and JAVA computer programming, globally aware with preparation for communicating and living in the 21st century world through courses such as STEM International Studies and STEM Policy. In addition, they have acted as consultants to community organizations and businesses in areas such as Network Risk Assessment, Alternative Energy, Social Media Policy and Nutrient Trading. They research, collect data and create solutions to real problems. They also study courses in pathways such as CAD/Engineering, Green Technologies, Applied Mathematics and Computer Science and Earth & Space Systems. If you are a business that is not STEM-focused, but have possible work in collecting and/or analyzing data, Microsoft Excel or statistics, computer programming and web design or other areas, thesestudents could fill those needs too.
