Learn How DISA’s Regional Impact Affects You

Since moving its headquarters to Fort George G. Meade in 2011, the Defense Information Systems Agency’s mission, and its economic impact on the state, has grown significantly.

In fiscal year 2012, DISA awarded $947 million to Maryland-based businesses, including $225 million to small businesses. Last fiscal year, DISA awarded $1.1 billion to Maryland businesses, with $435 million to small businesses. In terms of employment, while DISA employed 834 Maryland residents in 2010, it employs more than 1,400 Maryland residents today.

Join the Fort Meade Alliance for a breakfast event on Thursday, February 18, to hear from DISA’s Vice Director, Air Force Maj. Gen. Sarah Zabel, as she discusses the agency’s mission and focus, as well as DISA’s growing economic impact and focus on community outreach within the region.
