Education and Workforce Committee

This committee is tasked with the planning and implementing of events concerning the education and workforce issues in our region. This committee has developed Project SCOPE, a security clearance education and awareness initiative for grades 7-12, college graduates and professionals re-entering the job market. The committee has created Tech Mania and STEM Family Night to bolster students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and math. Four white papers have been published with the oversight of this committee.

NextGen Leaders Committee

This committee supports emerging professionals 40 years and younger from diverse FMA companies and organizations. Our mission is to empower young professionals in the Fort Meade region by providing engaging events and programs aimed at developing world-class community leaders. Our focus areas include networking, professional development and community efforts.

Ambassador Committee

This committee is charged with growing and maintaining membership and ensuring current and future members actively contribute to achieving the Alliance’s mission. This committee is responsible for member events such as the Fort Meade Bus Tour and the New Member Orientation.

Meade Business Connect (MBC) Committee

This committee assists companies with targeted information about doing business with Fort Meade agencies and the region’s prime contractors, focused mentoring/protégé programs, educational outreach including networking events and forums, market analysis of the agencies and organizations at Fort Meade and the FMA Member Capabilities Exchange, which will offer detailed information about FMA member companies.

Military and Family Committee

This committee focuses on providing support and assistance to Fort George G. Meade service personnel and their families. The Alliance led the community effort to outfit the new Soldier and Family Assistance Center at Fort Meade in support of the Wounded Warriors. The Alliance also provides assistance with bulk delivery of monthly snacks available to the soldiers as they wait for their appointments. The Committee is currently undertaking an effort to build a Resiliency Campus on Fort Meade.
