STEM Core Student Accepts Summer Internship Opportunity

Internships are one of the ways FMA is combattingĀ the cyber workforce shortage challenge. We are thrilled to announce that this summer a STEM Core student accepted a gainful internship offer from FMAmember BigBear.ai.

To awaken the potential and expand the talent pipeline, FMA works with STEM Core, an initiative designed by Growth Sector to offer intentional support for students who have a strong interest in a cyber career yet struggle with math. Students from Anne Arundel Community College, Community College of Baltimore County and Howard Community College are able to accelerate their proficiency in Precalculus through mentorships and internship opportunities thereby increasing the likelihood of success for two endeavors — completing a degree and landing a job in the cyber industry.

Thank you, BigBear.ai, for partnering with us to create meaningful workforce experiences for the next generation of cyber warriors.
