Our guest speakers, Shana Cosgrove of Nyla Technology Solutions and Jerry Schepers of Nexxis Solutions, will discuss the trends and challenges of awards, procurement and staffing (RFP releases, procurement shifts, increased security posture and clearing new talent, supply/demand imbalance, salary trends, multi-award contracts, etc.).

About Our Speakers

Shana Cosgrove, Nyla Technology Solutions

Shana is founder and CEO of Nyla Technology Solutions. She combines over 20 years of experience in computer science and systems engineering with a creative, proactive approach to the mission-focused technical services Nyla delivers to the federal government. Once Nyla’s sole employee, Shana has built a company of 50 people and an exceptional reputation for software engineering, data science and cybersecurity services.

Shana earned a B.S. in Computer Science from University of Virginia followed by a M.S. in Systems Engineering from George Mason University. She is a board member of Baltimore Family Alliance (BFA), Fort Meade Alliance (FMA), Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and the Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Council. She also produces and hosts The Outspoken Podcast discussing tech, money, business and passion with her guests.

 

Jerry Schepers, Nexxis Solutions

Jerry is a Principal and co-founder of Nexxis Solutions and serves as the Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Business Development. Prior to Nexxis, Jerry was a Principal at Praxis Engineering, where he served as a member of the Executive Management Team leading all business development, strategic relationships, and marketing activities. Jerry has over 30 years of diverse industry experience including senior management roles focused on both Government and Commercial business sectors. Prior to Praxis, Jerry served as Director of Federal Sales at Information Builders, Inc. and prior to that, spent over 9 years at Rational Software where he last served as Area Sales Manager for the eastern United States SMB market.

Jerry has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park and an M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University where he served as an adjunct professor for over 25 years. He has held numerous positions within AFCEA’s Central Maryland Chapter including President and Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition, Jerry serves on the AACC STEM advisory board and is a General Partner in Old Line Capital Partners.
