FMA’s Military and Family Committee is proud to introduce the Military Wellness Community Connection, a new initiative created to support the unique needs of our veterans and active military service personnel and their families.
The FMA, together with our sister organization the FMA Foundation, are guided by the belief that the resiliency of our people is at the core of holistic health. To us, resiliency is the link to increased capability and readiness of the individual to create an even stronger DoD community and, therefore, stands on the shoulders of five symbolic pillars — emotional, physical, social, family and spiritual.
Because May is Mental Health Awareness Month and June is National PTSD Awareness Month, we’d like to connect the holistic needs of the Fort Meade military community with the services available in the region.
Local businesses and organizations have volunteered to be hosts in this new initiative by donating services to support the unique needs of the Fort Meade military community!
Participating hosts are donating free or discounted services/programs that promote wellness in our military community:
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Tai Chi and Kung Fu
Gymnastics, Tumbling and Acrobatics
Musical Theater Camp
Health and Wellness Coaching
Veterans Peer Support Group
