Ken McCreedy Named to FMA Board of Directors

The Fort Meade Alliance has appointed former Fort George G. Meade (FGGM) Garrison Commander Col. Kenneth O. McCreedy, USA (Ret.) to its Board of Directors. McCreedy currently serves as Senior Director of Cyber Development and Aerospace for the Maryland Department of Commerce, leading the state’s cybersecurity and aerospace economic development and business retention activities.

“Ken brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the FMA board, from his time in uniform and in the private sector,” said FMA President Steve Tiller. “He is a proven leader with a passion for the FMA’s mission to support Fort Meade military families, promote STEM education and ensure our member companies grow and prosper.”

McCreedy, a 26-year Army veteran, was FGGM Garrison Commander from 2005 to 2008. Under his command, Fort Meade twice finished second in the Army Communities of Excellence award competition, receiving $1 million in prizes.

Col. McCreedy’s military background includes service as Commander of the 201st Military Intelligence Battalion and as NSA Director’s Fellow. Since retiring from the Army in 2008, he has served in several roles in the private sector, and he has led the non-profit Maryland Therapeutic Riding, dedicated to improving the quality of life of children and adults with disabilities, since 2013.
