Luncheon Keynote Speaker DISA’s Deputy Director Chris Barnhurst talks small business at the 2021 DISA Small Business Conference.
The 2021 DISA Small Business Conference on December 9 at the BWI Hilton was a huge success! Attendees heard firsthand from DISA’s Deputy Director Chris Barnhurst as he elaborated on the strategic intent of DISA’s recent organization change. The breakout sessions included a step-by-step explanation of the facility clearance (FCL) process by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), a discussion of the Other Transaction Authorities (OTA) process and the relationship with Dreamport (a project of MISA) and DISA’s Technical Exchange Meetings, an overview of what the source selection team follows for evaluating proposals and all the documentation that goes into justifying the winning contractor and a humorous presentation presented by the Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP) about what not to do when competing for OSBP’s attention.
The 2021 DISA Small Business Conference was held in partnership with the Fort Meade Alliance (FMA), Meade Business Connect (MBC).
