About Our Guest Speakers

Scott Albright joined MacKenzie Contracting in April of 2012 and quickly established himself as a leader. Today, serving as Senior Vice President, Scott’s day-to-day responsibilities include preparing bid estimates, contract negotiations, monthly budget reviews, daily field operations, coordination and scheduling of our 15 project superintendents and quality control from the start of the project through the punch list process and move-in. Scott works with clients across all aspects of the industry and brings over 36 years of construction experience on both new buildings and interior fit out projects to the MacKenzie Contracting team.

Kathy Butler joined Nexxis Solutions as the Director of Security Operations in August 2021. She executes all aspects of our company’s security in accordance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP). She also manages the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) licensing and compliance for our export control needs.

Kathy managed white-collar crime cases specializing in bad-check and fraud investigations for the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office. She was a credentialed Special Agent/Counterintelligence Investigator and managed security departments for both large- and small-industry, most recently with Praxis Engineering, culminating over 30 years’ experience in Facility and Industrial Security Management. She obtained her BS in Criminal Justice from UMUC. Kathy is certified as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO) and as a Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO).
