Our guest speakers, Kristie Harris of Peraton and Jim Potter of CACI, will be covering a variety of topics, including the importance of establishing a team the customer needs, the elements of writing a proposal that will lead to the customer awarding it to you and maintaining the standards of communication, responsiveness, technical performance and integrity.
About Our Guest Speakers
Kristie Harris, a Maryland native, obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and started her career as a software engineer. After moving into systems engineering, engineering management/leadership roles always seemed to cross her path. It was the thrust into leadership roles on multiple teams that led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Engineering Management. With 15 years of experience in the defense industry, Kristie is now a PMP certified program manager having led very large programs with a large teammate presence. Kristie balances her successful professional career with an active family life with her husband and two children in Maryland.
Jim Potter is a Business Development Executive for CACI’s National Security and Innovative Solutions Sector. Prior to joining CACI, Jim enjoyed an extensive career at Harris Corporation and Raytheon. His career has spanned across the engineering, program management and business development disciplines where his appreciation and lessons learned for effective teaming matured. Throughout his career, Jim has continued to expand his business partnerships and valued relationships and today he holds many of them as close friends, embracing and celebrating their successes and achievements along the way. Jim is a University of Florida Alumnus and proclaimed, die-hard Florida Gator.
