FMA’s revamped group for young professionals, the NextGen Leaders, kicked off August 29th for a Crab Feast at Nick’s Fish House in Baltimore.
RealmOne, Tower Federal Credit Union, MOJO Creative Digital and Prime Time Consulting sponsored the event. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation.
The renewed focus of NextGen Leaders is to support young professionals 40 years old and younger who work at FMA member companies. The group’s mission is to foster leadership through a combination of networking opportunities, professional development, and community service.
The NextGen Leaders is run by a nine-member planning committee led by Committee Chair Brittainy White of RealmOne. Brittainy will serve on the FMA Board as the official NextGen Leaders representative.
“I am excited to be a part of the NextGen Leaders Committee and have some exciting aspirations for this group,” Brittainy said. “I would like to help build a community that can come together, learn from one another’s experiences, and help others within our communities. Over these next few months, I hope to begin planning and developing goals, events, and relationships that embody our core values and bring the NextGen Leaders together.”
The group is currently looking to grow and encouraging young professionals to register as an official NextGen Leader to make the most of their company’s FMA membership. If you or someone you know would be interested, please fill out the NextGen Leaders form to be added to the FMA’s communications list.
Registration is now open for the group’s first panel discussion on October 30, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00pm at RealmOne. The panel will explore pathways to success within the cybersecurity industry.
